Passport Bio Page
- Attach a clear and original scan of your passport bio page.

Approval from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
An official approval document from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, confirming the applicant’s sports-related visit to India.
Invitation Letter by the Sports Federation/Association in India
An official invitation Letter to foreign sports teams and sports persons to visit India by the concerned Sports Federation or Association in India.

Sponsoring Letter from Shipping Agent
Upload a valid, sponsoring Letter from the Indian Shipping Agent or a Foreign Shipping Agent stationed in India, supporting the applicant’s visit to join the vessel in India.
Seaman’s Continuous Discharge Certificate Copy
A valid scanned copy of the Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) of the Seamen is required.
It must show details such as the applicant’s name, CDC number and nationality.
Purpose of Visit: To deliver lecture(s) under Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN). (e-Business Visa)

Invitation of the host institute to the foreign faculty
Provide an invitation letter from a host Indian institute or to a foreign faculty member under the GIAN initiative. Ensure the letter contains course details, expert's financial entitlements (honorarium, travel, and hospitality), and dates.
Faculty Course Synopsis Copy
Copy of the synopsis of the courses to be taken up by the faculty. It should reflect details such as the course title and course outline.

Film Shooting Intent Letter

- The production schedule particulars of the cast and crew coming to India for the purpose of the shoot.

- A list of filming equipment (if any) that is being brought into the country

Who provides it
- It is issued by the Indian hospital or medical institution where you plan to receive treatment.

A completed Employer’s detail proforma providing information about the applicant’s current employer, such as the employer’s name and contact details of the company.
Dispatch letter of current employer
A dispatch letter issued by the current employer in support of the applicant’s visit to India. The letter should reflect information such as the applicant’s name and the purpose of the visit.
Sponsorship letter of the Inviting company
A sponsorship letter issued by the inviting company to support the applicant’s visit to India for the stated purpose.
Visa Type: e-Student Visa
Purpose of Visit:
- For those coming to pursue courses on Indian languages or the Indian Knowledge system
- For those coming under the student exchange programme from institutes registered on the Study in India portal.
- For higher education (including in South Asian University and Nalanda University. (from institutes registered on the Study in India Portal)
- For studies in Yoga Institutes registered on the Study in India Portal.
- For studies in Vedic culture in institutes registered on the Study in India Portal.

Admission Letter from an Indian Educational Institution
An official letter of admission from a recognised Indian educational institution with the duration of the course.
NOC from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
A No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India.
Note:This document is required only if the applicant is joining a medical or paramedical course.
Parent/Guardian Support Letter
A letter of support from the applicant’s parent or guardian, accompanied by a bank guarantee certificate, or bank statements for the last 06 months in support of the applicant’s studies in India.
Visa Type: e-Tourist Visa 1 year/30 days/ 5 Year
Purpose of Visit: Voluntary work of short duration (for a maximum period of 1 month, which does not involve any monetary payment or consideration of any kind in return).

Letter from the organisation on its letterhead
Copy of a letter issued by the organisation concerned on its official letterhead confirming the applicant’s purpose of visit to India with other relevant information.
Purpose of Visit: Short-term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine, etc., which should not be a formal or structured course/programme courses not exceeding 6 months and not leading to a certificate, diploma or other qualification

Institute / Organisation / Hospital Letter on Letterhead
A valid scanned copy of a letter from the institute, organisation, or hospital concerned on its official letterhead. It should include details of the short-term course or programme.
Visa Type: e-Mountaineering Visa
Purpose of Visit: For a mountaineering/trekking expedition

Clearance letter from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation
A clearance letter issued by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) in support of your mountaineering or trekking expedition in India.
Visa Type: e-Transit Visa
Purpose of Visit: For the sole purpose of enabling him/her to travel through India to a destination outside India.

Confirmed Travel Ticket Showing Arrival in and Departure from India
Provide a confirmed flight or travel booking showing your entry into and onward travel from India. The document must clearly display your name, travel dates, and booking details.
Confirmed travel ticket to India (Inward Ticket)
A confirmed flight or travel booking showing the applicant’s arrival into India.
The passenger details and travel dates must be clearly visible.
Destination Country Visa/Dual Nationality Passport
A visa or a valid entry permit for the destination country is required
OR,
A passport of the destination country if the applicant holds dual nationality.
Confirmed travel ticket from India (Outward Ticket)
A confirmed flight or travel booking showing the applicant’s departure from India.
It should show the passenger’s name, departure date, and destination outside India.
Visa Type: Indian e-Entry Visa
Purpose of Visit: For a person of Indian Origin Who Are Not In Possession Of OCI Card, And For Spouse/Children Of An Indian Citizen/Person Of Indian Origin/ OCI Cardholder (Other Than Those Registered As OCI Cardholder.
Required Documents for the above-mentioned purpose
Copy of Voter ID card or Indian Passport of parent/ spouse
A copy of a Voter ID card or the Indian Passport of the applicant’s parent or spouse, who is a citizen of India.
Parent’s or spouse’s name and photo must be clearly visible.
Cancelled/ surrendered Indian passport with surrender certificate
A clear copy of the cancelled or surrendered Indian passport, along with the surrender certificate, for applicants of Indian origin who surrendered their Indian passport in or after 2010.
Parent/Spouse OCI Card Copy
Upload a copy of the OCI card of a parent or a spouse, in the case of those who hold a valid OCI card.
Details such as parents’ or spouse’s name and nationality must be easily readable.
Birth/Marriage Certificate Copy
A clear copy of a birth or marriage certificate, as applicable. The certificate should include details such as the applicant's name and the parent's or spouse's name (as applicable).
