An Indian eVisa is an electronic travel authorisation issued by the Government of India. The approved visa is delivered electronically to the applicant's registered email. No embassy visit or physical visa stamp is required.
Effective 31st March 2026, all foreign nationals travelling to India must complete the Disembarkation Card in digital format. The option of filing the card physically will be discontinued from this date.
You are required to fill the e-Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to your arrival in India.
The e-Arrival Card is free of charge and does not replace your visa or eVisa. It is an additional entry requirement that must be completed before arrival.

The India eVisa system does not permit multiple applications with the same passport number, document type, and issuing country. Submitting more than one application can delay processing and may result in rejection. The application fee is non-refundable in such cases.

This is a known display issue that occurs when accessing approved eVisas through iPhones and certain mobile devices. The font rendering may cause letters (particularly "N") to appear misspelled or disoriented.

Yes. If the valid Indian visa has not expired, your child can travel to India by carrying both the new passport and the expired passport that contains the valid visa. Indian immigration authorities accept this combination for entry.
A business eVisa is valid for one year from the date of issue. It permits attendance at business or technical meetings. Each stay must not exceed 180 days. If the total stay in India crosses 180 days, registration with the FRRO/FRO is required within two weeks. Multiple entries are permitted within the visa validity period.
